SongbirdsA Poem by Chloe PowellIn creative writing we were assigned to write a mirror poem. We were allowed to use any poem of our choosing and I mirrored You Stand Out from the Spilled Ink poetry collection by Sparrowed (Wattpad)They admire your graceful words, say you sound like songbirds. They adore your every step, you don't seem to know it yet. You stare into the mirror, only to shed a tear. For your beautiful eyes fail to see, just how beautiful you are to me. But you try, this I know, to let your true beauty show, hoping one day to make it through. What lies beyond your own view, you have not a single clue. For your beautiful eyes fail to see, just how beautiful you are to me.
