Songbirds

Songbirds

A Poem by Chloe Powell
"

In creative writing we were assigned to write a mirror poem. We were allowed to use any poem of our choosing and I mirrored You Stand Out from the Spilled Ink poetry collection by Sparrowed (Wattpad)

"
They admire your graceful words,
say you sound like songbirds.
They adore your every step,
you don't seem to know it yet.
You stare into the mirror,
only to shed a tear.
For your beautiful eyes fail to see,
just how beautiful you are to me.
But you try, this I know,
to let your true beauty show,
hoping one day to make it through.
What lies beyond your own view,
you have not a single clue.
For your beautiful eyes fail to see,
just how beautiful you are to me.

About
I love writing, though I'm probably not even close to being the best. I always either write or draw during my free time and would very much enjoy even a small amount of recognition. I post on Wattpad .. more..
