Dandelion

A short poem written with no prompt, only a few minutes of sitting outside with a notebook on my lap and a pen in my hand.

Lovely dandelion,

In a sea of green,

You are yellow.

Unique.

Eyes are drawn to you, 

You don't even know.

Beautiful.

Each little petal is stunning,

Like every inch of you.

Perfect.

Anyone could have picked you,

But somehow I got lucky.

I am yours,

You are mine,

Lovely dandelion.
