The Past Is RebornA Poem by Katy Craig
I am stopped by your presence
Your face is set in a cold stare But why I did nothing to hurt you My body goes numb Every word that leaves your mouth is toxic I hunger for more Every time I see your glare I choke Shall I ever get over you I remember the first time I saw you The position you were in I wish for what we once had You turn and leave This leaves me wanting more Come back to me Come back.
