“Breakfast With A Bear”
I had breakfast with a bear.
Who met me in his underwear.
He sat down without a care.
Perched precariously on his chair.
While sipping tea with honey,
Bear invited Baxter bunny.
Who brought with him some cake.
Insisted we partake
in a game of stir and shake.
We painted clouds a hue
of green and red and blue.
Then sat down to admire
a roaring, grand bonfire.
Exhausted, we lay down
on earth so soft and brown.
We closed our eyes to sleep.
And never made a peep.
We dreamed ‘til we awoke.
Then Baxter made a joke.
We laughed until we wept.
Then out of bed we crept.
Mother called my name.
Put a damper on our game.
So back home, did I walk.
Where creatures never talk.
