Beautiful ButterflyA Poem by LovesleftoversA tribute to the physically challenged children I work with everyday.
You see a broken body and turn your head. Take the time to look closer and you’ll see that I’m a beautiful butterfly. My wings may be broken. But still, l fly. Still I fly and soar. I am so much more than this mechanical chair. Things you take for granted are my milestones. If you enter my silent world I’ll teach you much. But don’t feel sorry for me. I don’t want or need your pity. I want your friendship, love and acceptance. I want to be the beautiful butterfly that I see when I fly free.
