You Live In My DreamsA Poem by LovesleftoversMy Grandfather came to me in a dream shortly after his death. Since then both my Grandparents appear in my dreams and they always have something to tell me.
“You Live In My Dreams”
You visit me
while I’m unconscious.
If I were naive
and thought dreams
to be simply the result of
an insomniac mind
your words would be
ignored.
But in sleep,
when all things are possible,
I believe.
I can fly.
The moon laughs.
And you’re still alive.
So I listen.
Because I know
you have something
to say.
I know you.
No time for frivolous play.
How I look forward
to our nocturnal chats.
But I don’t get to choose when.
That’s up to you.
So surprise me some more.
When I close my eyes.
Visit me again.
