Hesitation

Hesitation

A Poem by Lovesleftovers

She pulled down

her underwear,

encouraged by my stare.

What I saw there

could not prepare

me for the site I saw.

A bouquet of flowers

with special powers

greeting me with joy.

A fragrant spray,

a sweet sachet,

scent of forbidden love.

My hesitation

gave her concern

and caused her to give pause.

I was not ready.

My touch unsteady.

I had to turn away.

She smiled and nodded.

No reason prodded.

She’d wait another day.

such lack of confidence is not unusual. But time passes and we become ready each of us at a different rate
The ladies tend to mature earlier
