Longing

Longing

A Poem by Lovesleftovers

“Longing”
You belonged to her
I wanted you
So wonderful, magnificent
I drew you in with longing looks
And warm, wet lips
I made you beg for more
Still your ring was like a razor blade
I reached out for your hand
But slashed my fingers ‘til I bled
I held on tight despite the blood
Determined not to let go
Throwing caution to the wind, you did give in
Now no longer wonderful, nor magnificent, you’re simply just a man
