I have an acquaintance in my pocket…
I’ve known him since I was small
Through the thick and the thin
He’s been with me through it all

I have a friend in my pocket…
He’s a big guy with an even bigger heart
He’s always there with me
Even if my world was falling apart

I have a companion in my pocket…
To me, he is someone I hold very dear
With his ever guiding light
He helps my decisions become quite clear

I have an ally in my pocket…
He’ll never, ever, lead me astray
In the darkest of times
Forever by my side he will stay

Author's Note

I intended for no punctuation. This was inspired by a rosary that used to belong to my dad before he passed away. I carried it around with me everywhere I went.
