Confessional

Confessional

A Poem by Sasha Evans

“Forgive me Father for I have sinned.”
I plead for release as you
              "Beg for forgiveness.
I lay at night with a bible under my pillow
"Tonight with one as my pillow.
I struggle against my restraints as you
              "Give into temptation.
Damnation echoes my every thought
              "Screaming for your redemption.
You carefully remove your collar
"Not wanting to soil your Sunday best.
