For You

For You

A Poem by Sasha Evans

1.
       I picture us
   Frolicking
In a field of satin
          Bed sheets.
A twisting of limbs
        That even a
  Tree could be
      Envious of.
              The flowers
 Wilt in shame of
        Our intense rosy
   Pigmentation.
      The water’s churning
  Intensified by
        Our overflowing
     Passion.

2.
I want to kiss you…
And say it was to catch a neglected crumb.
I want to run my hands through your hair…
And blame it on the passing breeze.
I want to cry for you…
And claim that it’s from the rain.
I want to hug you…
And tell you that it’s because I’m cold.
I want to hold your hand…
And let you believe it’s because I’m scared.
I want to make love to you…
And whisper in your ear that I love you.

3.
I missed you today
.Your lips
..Your smile
…Your voice
….Your smell
…..Your touch
You leave me senseless
"When you’re gone.

4.
I hate you as much
As I hate rainbows.
I love you as much
As I love the flu.

I hate you as much
As I hate soft silk.
I love you as much
As I love poison ivy.

I hate you as much
As I hate life itself.
I love you as much
As I love lying.

5.
They cut me deep
The words you speak
I break down crying
You must be lying
When speaking of
This confession of love
