InflictionA Poem by Michael GilesYou were there - with me.
As seconds flew.
Then you spoke,
and him...
That brought me restless.
It's okay, you're only feeling the way I feel when you left me.
Friends. Again, just us.
No plan of leaving you out,
Twas as if, you told me that I have to move on,
But remember? Just with that slightest touch.
The weakness I felt in you gave way for me to grab you back,
For this time, you're my greatest possession.
No.
You're tired. I know.
Owner of my heart,
But then again,
Now, it's your comfort.
You're not alone.
