Heart shaped coin purse

Heart shaped coin purse

A Poem by Michael Morris

I sit down by the wishing well of the snobbish and well to do. I ponder
on which I should wish for, shall I take the wealth of the over
privileged and greedy, or the easy lifestyle of the genetic lottery
winners relying on others to dictate my life.  No, These are not the dreams that cross my mind, or the paths I wish to take.  I step up to
the magical well and throw my last penny.  All the riches and carefree
ways never even cross my mind. I make the most priceless and important
wish, I toss in that penny as if it was a precious diamond, the
most expensive thing in the world. O magical wishing well of the mall grant me the chance to love and be loved by her. Whether it
comes true today I don't care.  I can live a 100 times over with no
regret on the hope that one day the wish comes true.
