SHAKESPERE AND ROSES

SHAKESPERE AND ROSES

A Poem by Myka

Gently a petal slowly falls from bloom
Words of Shakespere dancing like roses within the shadow of his mind
Each descent is heard like a failing falcetto of choir
For the want of something good
With words of silk
A mind of phrases
Sits in his dwelling
Nothing but a companion of meek and tragic thoughts
Life of art
Space a stage so cold and bland that one might leer upon
errant craftmanship Or his sickness
talking lines from the bottle about dismal reality
Though the voices of Romeo and Juliet
Remain
in his heart!!
