Time to Bid Adieu?....

Musings on the ladies of my life

I know not, if the time has come...

But I want to be sure I don't forget

to thank the women in my life

for their love.... that kept me alive

My heart beats strong and steady..

only fuelled by the love you gave

But what I gave in return...was it enough?

to quench the thirst of your heart, I wonder

When your soul melting smile

tried to mask the tears in your eyes..

Why did I fail to see the pain in your heart

But then...did I really look deep?

At times when you moved close to me..

hoping I would hold your hands

and draw you close to my heart..

Busy I was.... I would just look away

In those moments of despair when I would sulk

Your laughter would cheer me up

Oh...I only heard the elation in your words

Selfish I was... never saw the melancholy deep inside you

When I think of the unconditional love you gave...

those moments of unbridled joy

How little I gave you back

Never even sharing true moments of happiness

Now when the time has come to bid adieu..

All I can do is to thank you and say sorry!

The women who made my life worth living

Oh..I don't want to say `Bye' to you yet..
