Grief

Grief

A Poem by Ashley Campbell

She won't see the sun again,

No, she won't see the rain.

All her world is void and empty,

Save the drugs that kill her pain.

The shell of a beating heart,

Is her soul still even there?

Trapped inside a fleshy hell,

Only time will really tell.

Mistakes she made, of course.

But who can say they're clean?

Mistakes; betrayals she has forgiven,

And for once, its he who cries.

Rooms full of love and grief,

Dread.

That desperate need of no goodbyes;

Dissipating hope.

Dresses and coffins with vaults,

Oh my.

The future,

She is dead.

A mother, a wife, a sister;

Surely some had called her friend.

I haven't decided if I'll continue this poem or not, let me know what you think.

Constructive criticism only, if you this concept alludes you then don't throw out useless trashing.

Thanks.

Well, I'm pretty upset about that. I posted a full paragraph describing what I thought of your poem and the stupid thing cut it down to four words -_-
