Prologue

Prologue

A Chapter by Ashley Campbell

"He was enchanting in the way of a dim light graveyard, held the allure of the known; the haunted. His voice was familiar but skittish, like he knew me as a friend, perhaps a lover, and yet he recoiled as if we were strangers.

His eyes, they reflected a sort of unsuspecting wisdom. But there was pain most of all. A kind of pain it takes a lifetime to recover from. I guess that’s why I wasn’t afraid that night we met. My heart bleed so vastly I thought to die at his feet from its weakness.

His eyes.

Such a haunting gray but gentle and so full of understanding. He seemed to stop time beneath what I called then my blackest night until my wounded broken heart found again its will to beat. And then he smiled. In all the realms of Heaven or Hell nothing could capture a soul quite like the way in which he seemed to smile; so perfect and subtly seductive yet as innocently as a child. Perhaps it was then I gave my whole heart away in the light of the moon."

I love this part most of all. This is going to be a fantastic book and I can't wait to see more. The above phrasing is so easy to relate to and very well worded. I can't quite find the right words for praise right now, but yes dude. Yes. A huge thumbs up. *kudos*

Oh, this is great. I love love love detail in anything being written. and ecspecially if it's describing the characters. this caught my eyes from the beginning and, not just because the bold lettering, haha. I think this is a great prologue that would have anybody moving onto the next chapter.
