Sin

Sin

A Poem by Ashley Campbell

Time stood still as the world fell down…
Down, down, down.
Watch me fall as I watch you bleed,
A shattered “bride-to-be”.
Her sheer veil torn with insanity,
Her white dress stained with impurity.
Only one knows,
She’s got needles though her toes to hide a bloody sin.
Cancel the wedding,
The groom is found dead.
Killed by lipstick and Cyanide.
A funeral of dark wishes,
A room so full of black ambitions.
She weeps for the sake of her name,
To see her smile would cause her shame.
No one knows her bloody sin.
Beneath the ground, the truth will lay…
Forever and a day.
‘til the very end of time.
It is he who is breathless that holds on the answers.
Six feet below, no one will know.
It was she who done the deed.
Cyanide, Cyanide
Lipstick and Cyanide.
Brought the Kiss of Death.
The bride-to-be, the bride-to-be…
Whatever shall she do?
Put away the questions that most surely start to brew.
Cyanide and razor blades,
Her favorite toys to play.
A toast for love,
A slice for life.
A mystery earns it’s name.
A silent blood song, they say, just for him.
Because her “broken” heart could beat no more,
When forced to dance alone.
Alone, alone, alone.
Buried the lyrics to the tune.
Forever, forever together.
Lay the lion and the lamb…
Oh what a bloody bloody sin.
Written with some paper and a pen…
No one but her will know the truth,
How the world made it’s little noose…

This poem flowed very well together. A story put well together in
a poem. I read your profile which said you were only seventeen...and
you seem very mature for your age, and quite intelligent. I wish you
well with all that you write. AD

This is a sad story of love, lust, longing and loss.
The story teller is reciting fantasy, I`m sure, but
in the event this is from the conscience, just try
to be easier on yourself. Time will handle all the
sadness and love will bloom again.
A sad, but very well written story.
Write more.
