Slipping

Slipping

Songs of Silence
Growing pain
Almost makes me go insane,
Because I know the blood is real...
And I know your words are lies...
You'll speak to me with false affection,
Smile at me through empty eyes...
And I have asked for none of this,
None of what you give me.
Thrust back into the darkness of the world,
Slipping slowly beneath the surface of faith..
Slipping through my fingertips like a silk ribbon...
Blown with the wind..
To foreign lands...
Away from me.
Left me here to die alone,
A knock on the door, but no one's home...
You look through a hollow heart,
One who had an alright start...
But betrayal has murdered the inside,
Left forsaken by it's own self.
No hope for tomorrow will ring within it's voice,
Only the promise for a merciless today..
Dark clouds will hide the light of day,
While a raging thunder comes to play.
The rain is all that welcomes you,
Welcomes you with it's harsh but soothing strikes...
So far away and distant, in a world all your own...
Your isolation you desire...more than anything.
So sleep tonight, for the tears of tomorrow are stalled
Dream forever, for you may not wake again.
Allow yourself to slip into this daze of insanity,
Take my hand.
It's calling.
Death.
My dearest friend..
