ParisA Poem by Bell Spaldinghave some poetry, for the 2 or 3 people that actually read my writingI'm going to Paris. I'm going to Paris, and I intend to change. To find answers, to rid of the things that are holding me back, To start over as someone that nobody knows, As some stranger who people want to know and never will, Who doesn't constantly overthink and contradict themselves, Just gazes over rivers and dedicates their heart to every sight and sound and beautiful unknown thing Who doesn't get lost in the confusion of emotions, And only lives in a state of awe and wanderlust, Who walks down cobbled streets with their head held high, Not thinking about or criticizing themselves for even a moment, And feeding only one old wish, to be insignificant To get lost in the timeless hustle and bustle of something new and exciting To not open up to anyone more than a "merci" I'm going to Paris, where nobody knows me. And I won't matter in the slightest. And it will be delightful. © 2018 Bell SpaldingReviews
