I still have so many things to share with you

 I still want to buy you coffee, watches, and awesome shoes

Excuse me for not being the loyal granddaughter

 For I am numb and can’t cry

The world is so lonely without you

Love of my life, I am lost already

 Why did you have to leave now and so soon?

You’re too young for the grave

Please let it be a bad dream and let me make you a cup of tea

While you’re watching that over-repeated episode of your favorite show

I hope you are at peace

 I hope you are no longer in pain

so simply stated ... honest and appealing in its sadness .. i especially like L2 .. "...coffee watches and awesome shoes" my own children might say something like that to me ;) they make fun of me for carrying a flip phone :))))))))))) this reads confessional so i say your grandfather must have been quite a guy! i was never fortunate to have spent a lot of time with my grandparents .. one set died early on and the other we visited every other year as they lived a ways away ... 1500 miles in a car (no air back then) could be grueling ... peace to you myclue! nice to meet you .. hope you will continue to post your stuff!

He was the coolest guy in the world. I can't express the love I carry for him. I spent my childhood with him, so it's been really hard letting him go. I miss him so much.

Heart wrenching poem about loss. I was very close to both my Grandads and felt much the same as you do here when they died. I felt it even more intensely when my Dad died at 60 and I lost my brother when he was 62. You won't feel it yet, but you grow stronger through loss and heartache. Keep writing and expressing your feelings. Your memories will kick in after a while and you will be able to smile.

I can really feel your pain, and I do understand what an awful place you are in at the moment. You may not understand this yet, but that grief will soften. You will always miss your Grandad, but with time it won't hurt as much as it does now. Look after yourself while you grieve.
