like the lovers doA Poem by Cate Mcgowan
I've liked to
Ponder Realism, when it's late And you're somewhere With Musk and Sky. And I like to wish We could swim Through this mist of allure, Tie our hands together with twine And lilac, and just Learn to live Like the lovers do. I just want To catch starlight In my Caving Knees And Dig my fingernails Into Your Skin And ache Like the lovers do. And I want to be quiet And I want the moon To turn away And blush For us. And I want to make love to you Like the lovers do. © 2013 Cate McgowanReviews
