I paced back and forth in the waiting room. It wasn't that much blood was it? Mai and Ross were just staring at the clock blankly. It had been three hours and one nurse told us that she would be out in a moment to tell us what happened and when we could see her but that hasn't happened yet.
"How could this of happened?" Mai wailed into Ross's shoulder. I sensed that both of them had some feelings for each other, but that was not the point. The point is that a girl is in an operation because of something her guardian did and something that I might of had a part in. I sat down for about five minutes when the nurse came out.
"How is she?" I asked frantically. The nurse gave me a sad look.
"She's well, She's in a coma. I'm sorry." She said bowing her head in apology. I stood there shocked; boyfriend? A coma? I think I was more shocked that she thought I was her boyfriend. I mean, I hated the girl, right?
I went to her room and sat down on the chair. I sat down by her bed and patted her leg awkwardly. I knew that she couldn't see or feel me, but I some how felt that she could hear me. I knelt down and moved some hair away from her face.
"I'm sorry. This shouldn't of happened to you. I wish... I wish that I never ever hurt you. I really wish that this never happened. It's all my fault. I mean you had to stay at Mai's house because of me and Aria, and then when you went home finally Aria was packing and her father took it all out on you. I'm sorry." I repeated this over the next four days, telling her about me and telling her that I was sorry. I never left her until the nurses finally convinced me to go get food.
Cassie's POV
In my dream, I was in my old house before the accident. Before I saw my parents die. I was sitting in my room, on my bed. It had all these princess bed things, like a sleeping beauty bed spread and a snow white vanity. I ran my hand over the walls and dresser drawers. It was so... I really can't think of a word to describe it. It made me happy, sad and deprived. I was about to go out the door when I heard a voice.
"Hi! Where ya goin' Cassie?Stay here with me. Talk to me. I wanna play." A little girl said. I turned around and saw her sitting on my bed. She had a huge smile on her face and was swinging her legs back and forth. I smiled and nodded.
Who is this girl? And why does she seem so familiar?I asked my self.
"Why, I'm you silly! You should thank that nice boy. What's his name? Adien? Damien?Andrew? Yeah. That's it. Andrew. I like him. He was nice to me. You. Us. He's still here, waiting for you to wake up. You should wake up. He's getting worried. Okay Cassie? Oh and have some fun. Everything will get better. I promise." She said with a giggle. She jumped up from the bed and gave me a warm, huge hug. I stood stiff there in her embrace for a moment, but then I embraced her back. I felt her disolving from under my embrace. I stirred slightly and opened my eyes.
The light blinded me for a moment, but then I could see. I saw Mai, kneeling on the floor, using my legs as an arm rest. I kicked her gently.
"Stop Cassie. I'm sleeping."She muttered quietly. I chuckled silently. She always was the slow one. She jerked up suddenly. "Cassie? Cassie!" She shouted, throwing her arms around me. I smiled and returned her hug. "Wait right there, I'll go get Ross." She said backing out the door. "Ross! Ross! Get your a*s in here!" She shouted, using her loud voice. He came running, obviously expecting the worse. She motioned for me to pretend that I was dead. I followed her lead. "Oh Ross! It was horrible. I was just sitting there when her body began to like, jerk around and now she's dead!" She wailed. He patted her back and I think I saw a tear leave his eye. "You idiot. Don't hug me. Hug her!" She growled. He complied and wrapped his arms around me. I did the same, and boy did he jump. I swear he was so freaked I thought he might of like, seen a ghost.
"Are you f*****g kidding me? Your not dead?!" He shouted, doing some random spazzy happy dance. I smiled as he jumped up and down for joy. "Hold on, I need to go get someone. He'll be very happy. Trust me." He said running out the door.
