A Poem by honeyleens
"

I find you, my soul, there

"

Is there a moment that I do not know myself?

Yet, I find you, my soul, there, in silent footsteps

On the outreaches of the dimming twilight;

Her tiny hands, palms out, open, holding the

World, telling me: now, do you know?

The world is smaller than it appears, and

Your spirit is not so big that you cannot see it:

Pressed against the glass window, small yet magnified,

Your soul is encased in this animal body,

And you know it, like you know your own mind.

Do not be afraid now.

I like this poem...

How I wish that I had written this,
it is a gentle compendium of the
very finest possible treatise on the
human spirit. Beautiful writing , but
even more incredibly, breathtakng
philosophy of being.

Thank you,
-----John

I like the way you expressed the soul as it's own person, that's really creative. I also really like the way you ended with "Do not be afraid now." Maybe that's just my own personal bias, but I think it's an awesome ending.

this is stunning (and I don't usually use that word). Your personification of the soul was brilliant. It reads as if it is an out-of-body experience, yet, it manages to ground the reader with a sense of safety, comfort, and wisdom. The last line brought a flood of calm; I plan to save this and re-read it in times where the world seems larger than me. thank you.
