missing you.

missing you.

A Poem by honeyleens
"

there is a warmth in my mind where you live.

"
there is a warmth
in my mind where you live.
you pull the threads of my
memory and imagination,
like an impatient child,
and wrap them around yourself.
threads weave into a blanket with
hues of plum and honeysuckle
and cerulean blue, gently glowing
like a kaleidoscope around you.
slowly, with a sad, sad smile,
i fold you into a bright little star,
pulling you close and tucking you in.
and then, my mind brushes against you
in a good night kiss
before you drift away.

the imagery in this piece is so powerful. You helped me to SEE this bright little star being wrapped up adoringly and to FEEL the surrounding warmth and sadness.
