What Life Is

A metaphor for life.

Life is a staircase

with irregular steps

One higher than the other

shorter than the next

We all have a staircase

we need to cross

Some higher than others

some criss-cross

But when we reach the top

the staircase will cease

And we won't fall

held up

finally at peace
