Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by TransparentHearts

Before the yellow haze of daybreak

Lunar light surrounded you in our mistakes.

From that bright lemonade season to

Ice cream floats without any reason.

Cool pools and bright lights lead the way

For our moment, our day

That will never be the same.

For sun rises, and will never set

Because our chemistry met.

One reaction in a perpetual motion

In an infinite domino commotion.

Because of you

Twinkling lightning bugs shine

When our tender hearts intertwine.

We soared into silver stars and lightning shards

But even those cannot compare

To you

She shared this thought while relaxing together

In the warm golden rays, hands held firm.

White veils and shimmering gold

Set our world in silver stone.

Hope for us glimmer as golden rays

Shining on our imminent days.

Secretly she drank in her lemonade,

Reflecting hopes and dreams of the next day.
