Withstanding the Pressure

Withstanding the Pressure

A Poem by TransparentHearts

Love me, hate me

You did not create me

You do not define me

But I define you

You say things about me

Though you do not know me

And never cared before about me

So what did I do to you

That you harass me

Tease with your words to me

And kill a part of me

With the verbal blows by you

I just want to live my life

And love who I want to love

That girl I love defines me

Illustrates the passion in me

Defies the limits of love to me

We have nothing to do with you

So why do your hateful words

Shun the pure love between

Her and I when it s you being

Spiteful in ignorance and curses

When I receive blessings

I love her and she loves me

We have nothing to do with you, bully

Wonderful and sad poem. I can relate. My favorite part is the first two lines "Love me, hate me, You did not create me." These words ring true to me and it was beautifully expressed. Thanks for sharing! :) 100/100

Withstanding the pressure is how a diamond is created.
