TenderHeart

TenderHeart

A Poem by TransparentHearts
"

For that someone.

"

Moonlight streaming through her window

Onto her pale cheeks glowing with

The light of the enlightened night

Whether she is a dream, fairytale or myth

I may never know, but maybe tonight

The surreal will become a reality

With those three words ushered by

Her passionate lips that torment

But tonight she sleeps gently with my

Head upon her chest, love on the ascent

On the rise to last forever, an eternity

Her tender touch soothes my soul

Ever deeper than anyone could do

And my heart she has effortlessly stole

From the dark depths but she did rescue

With her teasing smile and soft laugh,

Falling in love was just the aftermath

Of being best friends until the end

And now, this is the chosen path

For her and I, she's my cherished girlfriend.

Your poem is just as delicate as the love you're trying to show in here. I like the way you draw the image of that girl in this poem. It has a really nice feel to it.

This is beautifully written! And I love the line "Falling in love was just the aftermath, of being best friends until the end." The best relationships come from two people who were best friends first, I speak from experience.
Well done!

Wow! That was an amazing poem! Your choice of vocabulary was so exquisite, and really fit in well with the tone of your poem. I thought that this piece was beautifully crafted, and I really liked where you placed your line breaks. A very heartfelt piece, full of emotion and imagery. I like? I like. xD
