Chapter One- Inspiration

Chapter One- Inspiration

A Chapter by TransparentHearts

When I look at everything I’ve written, drawn, or done, I realize I can’t sit down and stare at a blank piece of paper and let the words flow through me and transform into ink. My best writing comes when there’s no paper in sight and the idea gets lost within the deep abyss of cherished memories and precious thoughts. Then, I sit here at this wooden table writing on blue paper frantically scribbling down as fast as I can the thoughts in my head and scratching out the typos. Random thoughts swarmed in my mind just a minute ago while doing dishes, and then I sat in this sturdy chair to realize I am pondering about inspiration. What inspires writers just like me? What happens when inspiration disappears? Why does inspiration only appear at those peculiar times when paper and pen seem out of reach? There is no right or wrong answer but is it the thoughts that lie within? The thoughts that penetrate the mind so tenderly? Inspiration lies within the deepest crevices and peeks out when one needs it? No… that doesn’t seem right. Inspiration is natural…but where’s the source of this Holy Grail of muses? Where does inspiration originate and flow out of the spring at times inconveniently?  Perhaps it’s in the sacredness of the moment that sparks the wild flares of inspiration that burns boundlessly within us but streams out like a gentle jet of crystal clear water. Or murky water for those cryptic messages. Or is it because inspiration teases the mind when there is no way to record the thoughts on a scrap of paper or electronic device? Inspiration operates in the strangest ways…

                Signed,

                                Yours truly.

"Inspiration lies within the deepest crevices and peeks out when one needs it? No... that doesn't seem right. Inspiration is natural..."
Those lines blew my mind chica.
I feel like my problem a lot fo the time is that I get some great idea and become transfixed on it then later when i look back I think its stupid or I don't even know why I htought about it in the first place. So dificult.
I love imagery... if you havn't noticed. And you have some lovely stuff. The water comparisons made me happy. Thoughts ebb and flow just like a river and spill over or dry up. Nice job! I'm liking this pondering writting. It suits your style.

Wow! This was such a beautiful chapter. I loved your choice of words, and I thought that your sentences flowed really freely. All of the rhetorical questions were exceptionally engrossing, and definitely made me think! The whole 'stream of consciousness' style is very effective, and you do a brilliant job in executing the right sentiments to create the mood. Nice write,
