Timely EssenceA Poem by TransparentHearts
To look you in the eyes Life draining out of me Time just flies Out the window and brushes your cheek Just a section of insanity Of the wide open world we live in All the piety and the profanity Spread out in the wide open spaces of the pastures And the cramped closures of city houses The little things of hope and good And the small things that arouses The most enormous feelings built up inside Like a concrete wall ten feet thick Only in me do I confide The rest of the world sealed off Relocated to this small town From an average sized city Time rolling by slowly in this fragment of the world Sometimes just being clever and witty Scampering to finish what I started A long time ago in that city I was born and raised Existence flowing into me from the earth Time is just another slowing craze © 2010 TransparentHeartsReviews
