Take Wing

Take Wing

A Poem by TransparentHearts

Take Wing

From minutes to hours,
And hours to days,
Days to weeks,
And weeks to months,
Months to years,
Years go by,
Like a bird that flies
E  n  d  l  e  s  s  l  y

In search of all that is,
And what all that is   b  e  c  o  m  e  s,
The past seems irrelevant,
as the bird soars overhead,
Into the sky,
They merge as one
One soul, One spirit
T  a  k  i  n  g  W  i  n  g

The bird has learned
It cannot fly by itself
The bird has the help
From the wind, the weather,
The calls from it's feathered friends
And never will it forget
The times it was taught
T  o  F  l  y  H  i  g  h

And never look back,
As years turn back into months,
And months reverse into weeks,
Days recede to hours,
And hours ebb away to minutes,
The seconds that go by
Are as precious as the lessons taught

This is quite impressive. Love the time sequences in it. This is very well done. I really like it a lot.
