Horn of Plenty

 

Depression is rage. Spread thin. 

La depresion, es rabia. Se extiende delgada.

I have learned many, many things in my travels near and far from where I came, and I'm well versed in the third world. I don't think, I know that most folks, given even slight changes in their environment, would navigate said very differently.

For example, I've heard lots of Americans say, with a straight face, that 'no matter how bad things got, they, would never steal.'

And I let it slide, because they don't want to hear my reasoning. Which says that if you get hungry enough, you will steal.You may not talk about it, but you will do it.

Americans don't think like this because they have no reference point. They don't know hunger. Unless they've spent time in a place where there is nothing but envy, greed, need, and disappointment. At which time they will be able to easily understand the significance. 

I have yet to encounter one person who can successfully debate this fact.

I'snt that like the 3rd commandment? Thou shalt not steal. 

Who cares?
