One of the things I have studied a lot is the effects of modern technology on the minds and lives of children.
I can easily get two yr old Kevin's attention, for just about any old reason. He likes me and I can see him learning from my carefully selected words and actions.  That is unless he is watching/listening/loving his mom's 'smart phone'. When this is the case, I could be on fire racing around the room screaming and he would be oblivious. Stuck in fantasy land, or WiFi.
There is something horribly wrong with this entire scenario.
Isn't there?
