Pride~LGBT

A Poem by Gem-muziqprincess
"

NEW poem based on gays and lesbians

"
You stereo typed us based on our color, ethnicity, religion, &Gender.
Now it has come down to sexuality.
It is time to wake up and look into reality.
Will you guys ever surrender
I believe everyone has the right to happiness with the one they love.
Just as any other such as two doves.

The pain you cause to the homosexuality is cruel
Who said being gay is against the rules?
We all humans inside
So why shun them for having pride.
There's nothing but skin, tissue, blood, &a skeleton inside of me
Why bully me &shun based on MY sexuality
It is not hurting you nor the person next to you
How would you feel if this so happening to you too.

The horrible hatred within this world
I am nothing but a young girl
You should never judge a book by its cover.
I am no different than any other.
The horrible criticism kills me inside,
but I cant let it affect me who I am I continue with my pride,

I am who I am
this is who I born to be
Now don't get in the way of my destiny
I would like to live with love without war or hate
Now that is my fate.

I speak on everyone's behalf who is shun based on our sexuality.
We are all human inside
We shall continue on with our pride
We shall fight for the right of love not hate
this is our fate.
We are no different from any other
Don't let them judge a book by its cover.
Stay strong and continue to be happy
because someday we will be happily married<3

Protest poetry has long played an important role in the history of literature and this certainly falls into that category. The theme is now universal and you have personalized it with a plea about the pain discrimination brings. Works like this cannot be called enjoyable but they become important, significant by their very presence. I applaud your protest and your courage to stand up and be counted. A very readable work to be remembered.
