On catering to a request of your partner only to find you've lost yourself

The reason why she does not believe you when you tell her you love her is as simple as the dimple between the bridge of your nose and the crown of your forehead.

You had her convinced that emotional

is synonymous with broken; that feeling is a fault. 

So she fixed the issue by putting scalpel to nerve endings in her heart and in her toes. 

She plucked out her eyes. 

And now she is being honest when she says

she does not care

she does not sense 

does not feel. 

It's simple really

The feeling of forever became a fallacy

as untrue and nonexistent as her hypersensitivity.
