Emotional PrisonA Poem by Huggy BearEmotions imprisonedWithin our mind is a prison
It houses the most dangerous of emotions As you close your eyes you see a long hallway On both sides you feel the tension with these emotions The first emotional cell you encounter is sadness The cell is damp with tears The pool of tears leaks into the hallway It touches your foot ever so delicately Suddenly a tsunami of pain and depression washes over You fall to your knees and cry hard Through sheer will power you break free You quickly backtrack against another cell Rage flows thorough body A red glow washes over your body Anger has introduced yourself You want leave this this madhouse that is your mind At the end of the hall you see door You try to run away form these insane emotions As your hand reaches the door and you open it You are shocked at what you see You see yourself Your mental representation points behind you Slowly you turn your head You see your emotions free from its bond As they creep close you awake Terror sweats down your face No matter how much you run No matter how much you oppress your emotions They will always break free and let their presence be felt © 2010 Huggy BearReviews
