Unexpected

Emotions have a knack of fighting against us and ultimately can take us over if we allow it.

Depression creeps in unexpectedly
It invades the veins of the unexpected
The pain and doubt washes over unforeseen
Depression begins its hostile emotional takeover
You fight with all your might against depression
Trying to prevent it from controlling your life

You know if this battle is lost
Your life is lost
Soon the road of life will end abruptly
Nothing will keep you living life
You take your life
Depression has claimed its latest victim
Like a plague it moves on to its next victim

The broken should not fear depression's fate
Though it seems impossible 
It can be repelled
Find the hole in the black cloud of depression

Expand the hole and allow the light to wash over
Rejuvenation commences
Happiness and love washes over
Wounds and bruises that depression created
Healed with loving touch only a woman can have
This is one emotional takeover you allow with glee.

Depression can be a monster. We can be overtaken easily. You create a very strong poem. Woman are the healers. They can be a Grandmother, Mother or a sister who will love us for our good and bad. I like this poem. You made some strong points. A excellent poem.

Great ending. I thought it was going to be just another sad poem but it really got picked up there :)
