Soul Maintenance

What  can be done when someone is broken?
What procedure is followed when that happens?
There is no magic tape or glue that can fix anyone.

There is no concealer cream that can hide
all the imperfections that are left behind.
When we break we carry that burden forever.
We are walking incomplete shells of ourselves
In a sea of untainted souls

If there lies a way for us
to be restored fully
There will be no burden
As good as it sounds
This is bad
Without burden to hold us

We make the same mistakes over
We fall for the same traps
No lessons will be learned
No change will occur
Us being imperious to the trails of this world

Will prevent us to grow as creative beings
Trapped in an organic prison of an unchanging life
Perfection is worse then death

This is a profound and thought-provoking poem with a lot of powerfully-enunciated lines. Although it is a damnation amongst human testaments it has an inspiration which transcends the cynical and the negative which it uses to empower itself. Excellent. My justifying quote:

This is a wonderful poem. It has great description and feeling. The flow is a little rough on the ears when reading it but the powerful statement in the poem overpowers that. Great job.
