True Love Or The World

If given the choice
Which would you sacrifice?
The world or your true love
No matter what you choose

Both choices ruin your soul
Untold suffering will plague you
Life will end within these choices
What life is worth this eternal pain?

Losing your true love to save the world
Would leave an empty space that no one can fill
The world will thank you for saving them
Yet the world will remind you of your loss

Love and life will spread and flourish
To all parts of the world except with you
Love and life will be your eternal enemy
If you choose your love over the world

Many will lose out on having true love
When the world ends so do dreams
The guilt felt to sacrifice billions for one
Would be immense

some find one choice easier than the other
Some can live with the pain
Some will cower and not make that choice
Whatever the choice is
You must live with it forever
In exchange for the lives lost of that choice

huh...im not sure what i would rather chose...the chose seems so hard...i liked ur poem...it was very deep and speculative about something that im sure not many people give much thought to

by the way...in the last stanza, i think u meant to say "some find one choice easier than the other."

other than that, good poem :)
