Winter

Winter

A Poem by Huggy Bear
"

Winter is like a beautiful death The chill of ice and snow

"
Winter is like a beautiful death
The chill of ice and snow
Choke life into hibernation
Misery..
Depression...
...Fill our psyche

We feel like death has come
To collect on our drained psyches
Til Winter gives us a break
In the from of....

SNOW!!!!!!

Snow falls ever so lightly to Earth
It is like a gift from the Heavens above
We rush to play with this gift
As we create snow angels and slide down the snow
Death's grasp on our dreary psyches is relinquished
Winter has rejuvenated fully
For that we are grateful

A excellent poem. Started with Winter as a bad things. Left me with Winter snow as a positive thing. Here in Michigan. We don't get a frost. Apples won't grow right. Thank you.

Winter does rejuvinate us by killing off and bringing us new "an absence of life." It cleanses our psyche and brings us gifts like snow. Winter is also a time to reflect. I like the way the poem sort of begins in an adult view and then when you throw in "SNOW," it becomes childlike.

Nice read,

Pat
