I was there for you
I saved you from harm
You used to call me brother
You used to call me family
I felt like I belonged in the world
I was there for you I saved you from harm You used to call me brother You used to call me family I felt like I belonged in the world
As time marched on Your feelings changed you make promises you never keep You leave me hanging out late at night When I call you You tell me I am a nuisance
Soon the real truth comes out You see me as weak A person that does not deserve to be loved You and your friends beat me for being a virgin You spit in face and call me worthless
I am left to wonder home crying So close to suicide The foresight I had for life gets dimmer I ask is this what friendship is Is this what happens when put it on the line I hope one day I can find peace with others for a life time
i love this poem...i like the way it tackles friendship at its journey, whether the relationship will grow stronger or just falter...anyways, this is a good poem:)
Extremely sad but touching and honest..extremely well written, Mustafa...what a poignant exploration of a friendship that turns out to be unreal...Phenomenal
Wow such strong words and emotions excellent pice of writting i also like how it reflects real life situations which not many writters succsfully accomplish
- I have such an innocence and purity that not a lot of people have
- Have a heart that most people can only fake
- My heart has led me to some dark regions of life.
- My heart has also led me to s.. more..
