Hate

Hate is such an ugly word
It is easy to hate someone
There is no reasoning for hate
Hate has no connections to others
 
It is not burden on the hater's soul
Hate is a weapon of social destruction
This leads to destruction 

Lives become shattered
Soon the essence of hate eats away
The soul and heart deteriorate
Soon nothing left

Hate exposes what we truly are
We are shallow and empty
Essence that used to fill us
The ying and yang of life
Love and Friendship
Evaporated from the searing heat of hate

This reminds me of Emilia from Shakespeare's Othello was saying to Desdemona "jealous people are not jealous for the cause" They need no reason.
Not really understanding the last stanza, some work on that.

Hate is a strong word. Dislike, can stand you or stay away allow the emotion to be kept at a distance. Hate had took down governments. Hate had change the world around us. Hate has done little good. Good example of love. Martin Luther King talking of love and unity of all races. He scare the haters for he taught love and forgiveness. Thank you for a poem to make me think. A purpose of a writer.
