#12 More Things Go Missing

Ok so while the cellphone plan is taking place keith and I are in a tent playing War, and we are starting to see a pattern going on, the queen always ends up w/ the 4, and at the end of every time through our decks, it ended w/ keith putting down a jack, soon I began to realize that every other time we put a card down I would win, so it was Keith, me, keith, me. . . . that’s when we found out that we were going in circles and no one would ever win. . . .(this actually happened in really life. . . . it was really weird) so once we have figured this out we decide to go outside and play go fish. . .thats when we hear the argument so we wait a bit and when we step out side and we see a cell phone sitting on a rock. So I go over to it and pick it up and say to keith
Me- hey look a cell phone! What should we do w/ it?
Keith- I dunno, keep it? see who-
Kerren- DROP THAT CELL PHONE!
Me- is this your cell? You need to be more careful w/ it since-
Kerren- so you 2 are the ones who have been stealing everyone’s stuff!
Keith- what? No! I haven’t done anything, and I doubt Rhi has.
George- then why did you say to keep the cell phone?
Keith- it was a joke! and I thought that if we kept it then it wouldn’t get stolen! It would be safe until someone claimed it.
Me- and why would I steal all that stuff?! Why would I rip put my own diary pages and scatter them and make I so keith could read it?! Icould have gone on w/ life without that happening!
Pattum- it could be you’re cover
Me- why in the world would I want paul’s discussing hiking boots? What would I do w/ them? And what would I do w/ christy’s diary? And all that other stuff?! I’m telling you I’m not the culprit!
Pattum- she has a point. . . but what about you keith *turns to him* you haven’t had any of your stuff stolen so how can we believe you aren’t the culprit?
Keith- why would I steal Rhi’s diary pages? And then put them in the woods, when I could have kept them or just read the dang thing and put it back? And I have a certain hairbrush that I will only use, so what would the point in stealing another one be? and why in the world would I want to steal Christy’s diary? I already know what it would be filled w/!
Kerran- maybe you thought that it was Rhi’s so you stole it and then realized that it wasn’t.
Keith- but why would I want to read Rhi’s diary?! I’m not a snoop! If I really wanted to know how she felt I could have just asked her! Which I was planning on doing until I found the diary page! And then I didn’t really need to now did i?!
George- well this all seems to fit, but it could all be a cover . . .
Keith- george! You know me! You know I’m not into everyone’s personal stuff! And you know as well as anyone that you don’t go near pauls hiking boots or Ryan’s lap top! Paul loves his shoes and ryan needs his lap top! Without it he would, I don’t know, cease to exist!?

Just then pagan comes running through the woods to the camp site, ryan’s missing! I cant find him anywhere!

George: Whoa Whoa Whoa, what happened?
Pagan: I turned around to look at a spider, then turned around to tell him, but he wasn't there!
Karen: OK, so we have Damian and Christy missing and Ryan missing!
Pattum: Let's split up and look for them!
Whimsey: Good Idea!
Keith: OK, how bout' Rhi, Whimsey, Paul and I go look for Damian and Christy andd George, Karen, Pattum, and Pagan go look for Ryan?
George: Good idea, but let's go in groups of two, so that if one of us finds them, then we can call eachother.
Pagan: Everybody find a partner and go !

ok I really don't feel like going all the way back to the beginning of this story...is it worth it or can someone fill me in quickly on what the heck is going on?

ok, Pagan Pattum Karen Rhi Whimsey Kerry and I are all out camping with the CT guys. There is a mysterious theif that has stolen a number of things and some new relationships are being formed. Like Whimsey and Paul, Rhi and Keith, and Me and Damian( Ours is pretty serious! LOL ) so we have some people missing and have some things missing. So you can add something to mine if you want or you can just enjoy the story as it develops! Have fun!

Just before we can all set out on our finding Ryan quest (hold on, are any of the girls missing? No?) we can set out on our finding Ryan quest, Damian and Christy come running into the camp.

Christy, almost in tears: "Damian borrowed Paul's boots and we went to check out the bog near the river and the boots stayed there somewhere and Damian almost got pulled into the mud and...and"

Damian put his arms around her: "Christy pulled me free. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here but Paul, I'm so sorry about your boots. I didn't mean to lose them. Some good news though, I found your good shoe. It was sitting on a rock near the river."

Paul thanked Damian and took the shoe and then explained that Ryan and his laptop had gone missing and we would probably have to go back to the village to search.

"No," said Pattum. "We shouldn't go to the village. I don't think Ryan or his laptop are there any more. The shoe was found near the river so I think that's where we should look."

"Yes," said Keith loudly. "And while we're at it we can look for my favourite hand mirror. You all know the one, blue with three views, can be held or hung on a wall. One of a kind that one, made by my surfboard maker."

Keith was pacing as he yelled this out. Rhi was trying to calm him but only succeeded in getting in his way so he'd have to pick her up, turn around and put her down again to keep his pacing and then do it again a few minutes later on his way back. George watched him carefully.

"Of all the things that could be stolen from Keith, why would it be a mirror? " George mused. "Why Ryan's laptop, these two things don't fit into my theory at all."

Pattum looked at him slowly, "If you were thinking someone wanted to make a love potion or spell, those aren't needed. No, there's something else happening here and it might be somewhat sinister. Everyone needs to check for more missing items before we look for Ryan because I have a feeling he's right in the middle of this and maybe in big trouble."

i originaly had this as me and keith looking for Christy and damian but Pattum beat me to it. . . .here we go

Ok so Keith and I set off to find paul's boots. . . .
So as we make out way to the riverbank we have to go through a bunch of bushes and things and as Keith is making his way over one of them he steps on something and falls.
Keith- OW! What was that? *He starts feeling around in the bush for whatever he stepped on* wow that’s weird, Rhi come here! Look what I found!
Me-(my sweater had gotten caught by a tree so I was too preoccupied to notice that Keith had fallen) what are you doing?! Why are you on the ground?
Keith- that doesn’t matter, get over here and look at this!
Me- cool you found paul's hiking boots!
Keith- ya but it is only one so we'll have to keep looking
Me- well get up *holds out had to help* and we’ll just have to keep our eyes open for another boot. Keith, you have a big dirt spot all down your pants.
Keith- *reaching down to pick up the dirtied boot.* well you have a huge rip in your sweater hood, so there.
Me- *grinning and shaking head* well lets go check that river bank!
So we start off again, Keith has a slight limp from when he fell, and when we finaly make it to the river bank there aren’t any signs Paul's other boot.
Keith- *sitting down* well now what?
Me- well they said it got stuck in the mud so shouldnt we go check there?
Keith- *picks up a rock and throws it into the water and sighs* maybe it went up a tree and is watching us right now.
Me- ha ha ha , so how did a boot do that?
Keith- I don’t know! You’re the one who asked! *sighs and gets back up, and begins walking toward the shore*
Me- Do you have any water left in your water bottle?
Keith- well not much but here
hands me water bottle and I take a sip and immediately spit it back out
me-eww! That was discussing! What is in that?!
Keith- I thought it was just water. I haven’t dank any of it since we left camp, let me see it *I give him the water bottle, and he sniffs it* well it doesn’t smell like anything. . . . *he then takes a sip of it* oh gross, you’re right! Eww it tastes like pond scum! But how would the water have gone bad?
Me- did you leave it alone for any length of time.
Keith- I cant remember, but probably.
Me- oh great so not only are things disappearing, now somebody is switching water w/ pond water? *sigh* Well I guess all we can do now is find pauls other boot. but what i dont get is how the story and the location of the boots arent matching up. . .
keith- me neither, but lets just look around a bit more and then head back, the sun is begining to set.
so we surch, and surch but to no avail. . . and we head back to the camp

Keith and Rhi arrive back at the camp.
Whimsey, Paul, George, Pagan, Karen, Christy and Pattum were checking around the camp to see if there was anything else missing. After checking out the guys' tents, Whimsey noticed that Paul's white shoes are gone.

Whimsey: Paul - you're white shoes aren't here anymore.
Paul: That's okay Whimsey - they aren't missing...I threw them in the bog when no one was looking. Just don't tell Sharon

The gang started checking the girls' tents. Inside one was Keith's mirror.

Keith: If the mirror was returned, the thief must still be in camp. We need to look more.

Rhi: Well, Keith, maybe your mirror was returned, but Ryan and his laptop are still missing. Do you think something happened to Ryan then someone stole his laptop, or do you think maybe he took his laptop and went looking for the closest pub?

Keith: Knowing my mate, Ryan, he is probably looking for a football, soccer or basketball game he can join.

Christy: When Damian and I were at the bog we noticed another camp a few miles away, and I think there was a basketball court there. Think maybe Ryan could be there?

Keith: Don't know, but did you happen to see a beach with waves when you were there?

So, the gang all started walking toward the other camp in hopes that they would find Ryan, his laptop or another clue.
