Taunting Memories (Wake)A Story by Bianca B (musiiquez)Mendum, Abandoned & Satellite Empire - Wake
Instead of letting blood flow from a self inflicted wound, she let the ink from a pen flow. At first it was perfect flowing letters of love onto a rose scented notebook. But it became jagged words of violence and death. He was to be deployed on that battlefield tonight. She was too broken to say goodbye. The words of death crawled from the paper, and onto her hands, forever imprinting her agony into her mind. She tore out the pages of the notebook, balling them up. Fuelled with violence, she threw them at a glass heart on the coffee table. Time froze as it tumbled to the floor and the heart shattered into pieces, scattering across the hardwood floors. She scrambled towards the shards, clenching it in her hands. The broken glass dug into the flesh of her palms. Blood stained the clear glass. She saw a figure that flickered in front of her eyes, confusing her. The figure resembled that of whom she lost, and she crawled towards it. She thought that he was still here. He wasn't. What she saw was false. The illusion disappeared into pixels. The glass was deep in her palms from crawling. She let out a scream from both her emotional and physical pain. The same illusion flickered around her, like it was taunting her for her pain.
