Chapter 7A Chapter by EddieChapter 7. Later that day, Ivy was finally able
to eat. Despite it only being a little oatmeal and a sip or two of water, it
was more than what her mom thought she would eat, especially in the weak state
Ivy was in. Even though there wasn’t a lot of blood loss, her condition was
mostly due to shock from what happened. Ivy’s mom caught her up on what Ms.
Parker told her at Different Records in the waiting room. She also mentioned
how she emailed Ms. Parker before leaving for the emergency room, but is going
to check for a response after dinner. In the hospital, Ivy’s movement tics
have calmed down, since she couldn’t move much. But, the vocal tics were worse.
There were a lot more curse words, grunting, and the other vocal tics Ivy would
normally have. The nurses would come in and continuously tell Ivy to stop,
despite knowing that she has Tourette’s. One of the nurses was about to slap
Ivy because of the awful language. Apparently, a lot more people were so
close-minded than Ivy had thought. At dinner, Ivy talked to her mom
about the mean nurses, and her mom went to the nearest receptionist to see why
her daughter was being treated so poorly. The receptionist then said “She’s
still here? I was told she left.” Apparently, the nurses wanted to mess
everything up, saying that approval isn’t needed for someone to leave the
hospital. Ivy’s mom felt bad for the receptionist, as she just started working
there only a week or two ago. The people at the hospital properly
took Ivy out of the hospital to go home, and to schedule an appointment with
one of the doctors at another part of the hospital to remove the stitches. On the way out of the hospital, Ivy
kept her middle fingers up high so everybody could see. Ivy’s mom rushed her
daughter in the car so people would just stop telling her off and other various
things. The car ride home was filled with silence. Once she was at home, Ivy went right
to bed. She just felt so done with life. It simply started just being denied an
interview with a special needs record company because of her disorder. It made
no sense as to why somebody would do such a thing. Different Records’ job was
to allow Ivy to peruse her dreams, but how could she if the one good place that
was around refused to work with her? © 2016 Eddie |
