Ocean Mind

Ocean Mind

A Poem by Bree
"

So ... true ... maybe ..?

"
The mind is like a bottomless ocean ,
Spread wide with many thoughts, no answers found
And the more time you spend treading,
The more likely you are to drown.

Theres no shame in getting lost in the waves,
No shame in drifting,
Just be sure you brace yourself,
When the tides start shifting.

Make sure you don't get caught in the storm,
When life doesn't go the way you please,
And now your trapped in the monstrous waves,
Of your mind seas.

Keep your head above,
Make sure you breathe no matter how hard the waves pound,
Make sure you do what you can,
To keep from going down.

If you go down to deep your mind will take control,
Entangle you and keep you under,
Till you lose sanity within the troubles,
And all you do is wonder,

How your mind got trapped beneath,
And why nothing makes sense,
What has got you so sad,
And keeps you so tense.

The mind is like an ocean,
Filled with thoughts that hold you down,
Sometimes you can't get above the water,
And sometimes you drown.

We all keep secrets inside,
Hid under lock and key,
The weigh us down like anchors,
And they drown us in our mind's sea.
