The Beast Of LIfeA Poem by Olivia CapriA poem I wrote when I was feeling, just, down on life.
I will stay here and never leave, These icy clear waters, and Beauty so deep The name of this place, Has no importance at all, But in this place there’s, No pain, no anger, no disappointment Yes, I very much like it here, I don’t think I’ll ever leave, Because leaving this depth of slumber, Will only release the beast The beast of life is angry, He hunts, hurts, and kills, I know I’m not in his grasp, Because I have the savior I know I must now wake, And face the endless day, Where temptation awaits my way I understand that life is hurtful, but Know I know that without it, The hurt wouldn’t be as wonderful as it is Not one bit, not at all © 2009 Olivia CapriAuthor's Note
