Gone.

Gone.

A Poem by Jason Young

She just sits there

Paler skin than snow

Faded dash of color sitting on her wrist

Her eyes are cold steel

Unforgiving and chilling

But her smile gives her away

Her voice cracks as she gently sobs
Her tears kiss the ground
And now that she is gone
Are you really satisfied?

It's a sad poem, but it's still beautiful. I agree with C.C., it's one of the best poems I've read about a breakup. There's emotion, but not so much that it spills off of the page. Great write =D
nice.

Oh my gosh, what a sad sad poem! These two lines: "Her voice cracks as she gently sobs/Her tears kiss the ground" are incredibly symbolic to the breakup. Amazing for it's length and incredibly powerful. This is the best poem I've ever read about a breakup.
