Sleep ScheduleA Poem by Amanda
Late at night when I know you're sleeping
And laying in bed I imagine I am with you Laying head to head I fantasize about how your breathing Is slightly off beat And how you're completely bundled up Or half out of the sheets I wonder if you're a restless sleeper Constantly moving around Or a slumbering log Practically pinned down I'm curious if your glasses are still on Or maybe they slid down your face Or if they're already up and away In their little case Do you make sounds when you sleep? Like hums or groans or maybe even talk? Do you make faces? Maybe you sleepwalk And I don't how you act when you're sleepy But I'd really like to know Like if you hold your pee til morning Or just get up and go When you're in deep sleep I wonder if your eyes flutter as you dream Letting your thoughts come to life Almost tearing at the seam But most of all I wonder if you think of me As you lay there in bed And I wonder if you too wish We were laying head to head Because I know when I'm in bed And I'm as tired as can be I wonder if you wonder All these things about me © 2014 Amanda |
